Brothers in Public Health (BiPH) is excited to announce the onboarding of three dynamic new interns who will play a key role in advancing BiPH’s operation, community engagement, communication, and media goals. These students bring their own lived experience, energy, and youthful creativity to the BiPH mission of increasing the involvement of marginalized men in improving the health of Communities of Color.
This cohort of interns will support through 1) Program Operations & Community support; 2) Health Communications support; 3) Podcast & Media support. Each intern will work alongside a member of the leadership team to drive forward at least two projects for the duration of their internship. This will help support additional capacity for BiPH while also giving opportunities for tangible skills for the next generation of brothers in public health.

Jared Brown Jr.
Program Operations & Community Support Intern (Sacramento, California)
Jared is responsible for the development of BiPH’s internal programs and community engagement systems. Jared is pursuing his Master of Public Health in Community Health Education at California State University Northridge, and is currently the Graduate Student Assistant at California State University Northridge. Jared is most excited about building community with other men of color, and connecting the west coast with east coast chapters while being a part of Brothers in Public Health.
Nathan Scott
Podcast & Media Intern (Randolph, Massachusetts)
Nathan will be responsible for the production, research, repurposing, and strategic development of BiPH’s new podcast. He is currently studying a Bachelors in Biology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Nathan is most excited about the unique opportunity to contribute to a group aimed at developing men of color in the field of public health.
Michael Stinson Jr.
Health Communications Intern (Atlanta, Georgia)
Michael is responsible for leading digital storytelling, managing the LinkedIn and Instagram strategy, and supporting website updates for BiPH. He is currently a Master of Public Health Student at Mercer University. As a part of Brothers in Public Health, Michael is most excited to connect with likeminded individuals with the common goal of delivering health information to communities who may not have the resources to inform themselves.
