Public health is a field that plays a critical role in improving the well-being of individuals and communities. However, there is a significant underrepresentation of Black men and other men of color in this field. In order to advance the field, culture, and perception of public health amongst marginalized communities, it is essential to increase the involvement of Black men and men of color in public health.

One of the key reasons for the underrepresentation of Black men and men of color in public health is the lack of access to educational opportunities and resources. Many individuals from marginalized communities face barriers such as limited financial resources, lack of mentorship, and systemic inequalities that prevent them from pursuing careers in public health.
