About the Diverse Alliances for Prosperity (DAP) Award

The DAP Award was created by Brothers in Public Health Inc., a nonprofit committed to uplifting men of color in the public health space. This scholarship helps bridge the representation gap and supports your educational journey.

Why this scholarship matters:

  • Support Stronger Pipelines from undergrad to leadership.

  • Foster Inclusive Leadership to tackle public health challenges.

✅Eligibility

To apply, you must:

  • Identify as a male of color

  • Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional public health (or related) program in the United States

    • Undergraduate: 12+ credit hours

    • Graduate: 9+ credit hours

  • Submit:

    • Degree/enrollment verification form or acceptance letter

    • Resume

    • 1 letter of recommendation

    • Short essay (500 words) on how your background and aspirations align with BiPH’s mission

  • 25%: Originality and clarity of the essay

  • 25%: Alignment with BiPH’s mission and values

  • 25%: Demonstrated commitment to public health/community service

  • 25%: Academic and/or professional promise
